Dr. Valenzuela is the Director of Penile Prosthesis Surgery and Co-Director of Reconstructive Urology Fellowship Program in the Department of Urology at Mount Sinai Hospitals of the Icahn School of Medicine in New York City. He specializes in surgical restoration of erectile function and surgical management of Peyronie’s disease.  He is focused on surgical techniques for the preservation and restoration of penile length and girth.

Since training with Dr. Paolo Egydio, Dr. Valenzuela became involved in the development of Sub-Coronal Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (sc-IPP) and the Modified Sliding and Multi slice Technique (MoST/ MuST)), these procedures designed for penile lengthening and girth enhancement at the time of penile prosthesis insertion.  Over the years his technique has continued to evolve. Now with the introduction of the Tunica Expansion Procedure (TEP) his team can offer penile length and girth restoration through a simple 3 cm scrotal incision. He is one of the most prolific implanters of penile prostheses, artificial urinary sphincters and male slings in the Northeast region. Dr. Valenzuela also focus on the esthetics of penile anatomy in patients without erectile dysfunction interested in penile length and girth enhancement using the Penuma implant.
